About the system
MGC Advance 2.0 is a systematic signal service from the Swiss firm MGC Investments, focused on American options. With Systems2follow, MGC's trades are automatically mirrored on your own brokerage account.
In plain words.
Since 2006, MGC has applied its own Protective Income Strategy, a quantitative approach based on the US S&P 500 Index. The strategy seeks to generate a steady flow of premiums in flat, rising and mildly declining markets, and automatically activates proven hedging protocols during periods of severe market stress and elevated volatility.
According to MGC, over the last five years MGC Advance achieved an average net annual return of 13.8%, with a maximum drawdown of just 3.5% (March 2025). These figures are supplied by MGC and partly cover a period before the start of MGC Advance 2.0 (July 2025). The results since the start of the system are shown in the chart and table on this page.
In brief
Method: systematic signal service
Instrument: American options
Risk indicator: 3 on a scale of 1 to 7

Trading strategy and risk management. MGC Advance 2.0 combines the proven Protective Income Strategy with additional quantitative models to trade American options on the E-mini S&P 500 (ES). Positions are actively monitored and managed, while all investment decisions are driven by predefined, systematic rules rather than discretionary judgment.
With a risk indicator of 3 out of 7, the strategy is, according to MGC, designed for investors seeking an attractive balance between capital preservation and long-term portfolio growth.
Key terms explained.
ES future: a contract on the US S&P 500 index, in the standard E-mini size.
Protective Income Strategy: a combination of two or three options. A sold option earns a fee (premium) and a bought option limits the possible loss. The system benefits if the market stays flat, rises or declines mildly.
Drawdown: the decline in the value of your portfolio from a peak to a low point.
Factor: sets the size at which you follow the system. Factor 1 is €45,000, factor 2 is €90,000.
